Time to Get the Old Violin Out

Ok, I know I am going to catch so much shit for this blog, but here it goes. Teaching is a tough job, I understand that, I actually have alot of interaction with teachers with what I do and I know they don't always have it easy. And yes, I chose not to become one...it wasn't for me. But guess what, my job, pretty much like every other job, is also hard. So when I have to hear my friends who are teachers complain that they have to go back to work this week, I swear it makes me want to scream!
Let's start off with the fact that teachers just had 10 weeks off. I repeat, 10 weeks! Let's also remember that they get a winter break, a spring break, national holidays, Jewish holidays or Catholic holidays depending on where you teach, election day, Columbus day, veterans' day and many more...totaling to about 13 weeks if not more in a year. You know what most people got this year? Four. Huge difference when you think about it. And I know what's coming next...teachers don't make as much as other professions...well guess what, contrary to the belief the marketing field doesn't pay so well either. Trust me.
